David Emer

Legislative Director & General Counsel

David Emer has been the legislative director and general counsel for Sen. Jamie Eldridge since April 2019. David arrived from a mid-size Boston law firm, where he was a litigation associate. There, he successfully argued for stronger tenant rights for domestic violence survivors before the Supreme Judicial Court. Emer previously worked at the State House as a researcher for the Health Care Financing Committee. Emer received a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and a B.A. from Brandeis University.
