The office seeks interns to assist with the communications department, constituent casework on a variety of issues, including immigration, unemployment, and housing. The office welcomes interns with any policy areas of interest who demonstrate a commitment to public service. Interns are assigned to work with staffers based on their areas of policy interest.
General Intern Responsibilities Include:
Managing intake of constituent correspondence and casework.
Assisting staff with administrative tasks and office operation.
Answering phone calls and assisting office visitors.
Assisting with drafting of social media posts, press releases, Op-Eds, and letters.
Attending and assisting with events and briefings.
Researching legislative initiatives and other short- and long-term research projects.
Qualifications: Applicants can be undergraduate, graduate students or post graduates who are self-motivated and possess strong writing, communication, research, and interpersonal skills. Backgrounds in political science, international relations, environmental studies, and communications are all strongly preferred. Applicants should have a strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and an interest in public service. Ties to Massachusetts are strongly preferred.

Commitment & Credit: Internship opportunities are available on a full-time or part-time basis. School credit is possible if arranged and approved by the intern’s respective college or university. Please note this is an unpaid internship. Part-time internship candidates should be able to commit at least 10-12 hours a week between the hours of 9AM - 5PM.
